Light Day of Action on Thursday
Thursday saw one of the lighter days on the 2021 PASCOOP schedule as just one tournament with the usual three tiers of buy-ins was on the schedule. It was a fun one however since it was the progressive knockout (PKO) format has been all the rage in the dot-com scene.
The high tier saw 256 entries for $200 apiece and “8Ballpoolhustle” put in a strong performance with enough bounties to more than double the second-place prize. That player earned $10,817 between bounties and prize money while runner-up “Chaitanyaa” grabbed $4,639.
Outed screen names making the final table included Barrett “AndrewYang2020” Lipkin, Nick “cooooooch” Amicucci and Travis “UnitedWeZag” Herzing.
While shipping the high event for over $10K was a nice score for “8Ballpoolhustle,” that wasn’t enough as they also managed to be part of a three-way chop in the $50 PKO for $2,464. They came up just shy of another win, losing out heads up to “pokaroka31,” with “A Frequent ?” being the other deal-maker.
Finally, the low-tier $20 event went to “luckwonthelpyou” for a total win of $1,998.
