Band: 08 ORI 225 Pedigree: 08 ORI 225 Bred by: Mike van der Jagt. Further to all his other successes, this year Mike won the AU Band Race. This is the second time he has bred the winner. As well he bred 18th in this year's Empire Classic 350. Mike has been a very competitive flyer in previous Le Tours and for the last 2 years was 2nd Overall with 06 ORI 211 & 07 ORI 42. Sex: Medium size Male Comments: A full bodied cock that was Sprint Champion scoring 9th 183 km, 3rd 310 km & 2nd 310 km. Unfortunately he was late from a very tough S6 (50% losses) and never regained his form but completed the series and flew the longest race 450 km on the day. This is one "tough" racing pigeon and a grandson of "Captain Kirk". Note: Size description is relative to the birds entered in the LTTS. Sex is my best guess and not guaranteed. Eye photos were taken using an artificial light so in natural sunlight the pupil will often appear smaller and the whole eye will appear brighter because the sun is much stronger in intensity. |
